Phytogeographicaly, Trsteno lies in the southern area of the eumediterranean vegetation zone of the Mediterranean-littoral vegetation belt of the Mediterranean vegetation region. A mixed forest of holm oak and flowering ash (Fraxino orni- Quercetum ilicis) is developing in this area.
